Character: SPAN 85 also known as Sorbitan Trioleate (STO), is a kind of clear oily liquid with yellow color, the relative density is 102.9 melting point 10-12℃ flash point 210℃ with fatty odor; It is insoluble in water and soluble in hot oil and organic solvent, not dissolves in isopropyl alcohol, four vinyl chloride, xylene, cottonseed oil and mineral oil, is a kind of advanced lipophilic emulsifier.
Applications: Span85 is used in medicine, cosmetics, textile and other industries as emulsifier, stabilizer, thickening agent and wetting agent, as emulsifier in the oil industry, as co-solvent in petroleum products, as antirust agent in antirust oil industry etc.
